Agustí Argelich

Agustí Argelich

Director of the FILMETS Badalona Film Festival and member of the Catalan Film Academy.

He is a producer and content consultant for the TV3 Film Unit and an international jury at various festivals such as the Gaudí Awards or the Cryptshow Festival.

Director of Communications and Institutional Relations at TMB.

He is also the director of the TMB Foundation.

Assumpta Serna

Assumpta Serna

Actress. Leading role in 27 flims, she has 227 interpretations in 20 countries and in 6 languages. Winner of 25 performance awards in international film festivals. She has represented Spain in the European Film Academy for 8 years and she has been member of the Hollywood Academy of Arts & Cience for 26 years.

The formulation of the Code of Good Practice of Actors in Audiovisuals has been her majestic contribution. Together with Scott Cleverdon, she lectures about audiovisuals and trains actors, directors, entrepreneurs and priests in communication. In 2020, she has created the online community called Familia de Cine (Film Family) with professionals of the film and television industry.

Cesc Gay

He is a filmmaker, screenwriter, author and theatre director. He studied cinema at the EMAV (Escola de Mitjans Audiovisuals de Barcelona, the Barcelona School of Audio-visual Media). He made his directorial debut in 1998, alongside Argentine director Daniel Gimelberg, with Hotel room. In 2000 he adapted and brought to the cinema the play Krámpack. He has also written and directed the feature films En la ciudad (2003), Ficció (2006), V.O.S. (2009), Una pistola en cada mano (2012) and Truman (2015), with which he achieved international recognition. With his seventh film, Truman, he won five Goya awards, including best screenplay, best director and best picture. In 2015 he made his debut as a playwright and theatre director with Els veïns de dalt. Beyond our borders, the play has been performed in many countries, including Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Chile and Portugal. In 2018 he wrote and directed the television series Félix for Movistar +. He was the creator and script coordinator of the TV3 series Jet lag, made by the company T de Teatre.

He is currently in the post-production stage of his latest film, Sentimental. He has won numerous awards, including the national cinema award granted by the Generalitat de Catalunya (2007), the Signis award at the Mar del Plata International Festival (2007), the Ciutat de Barcelona Award (2000), the First Golden Tesafilm Award at the Hamburg Filmfest (2000), the Fipresci award at the Chicago International Film Festival (2000) and the Special Youth Award at the Cannes Film Festival (2000).

The jury will select the 10 finalists of Roda a TMB, which will be screened on MouTV. Of these, the five best will also be screened at the SMIFF festival. In addition, the following prizes will be awarded.
