A young man suffering from severe depression—brought on by an existential crisis and an intense sense of irrelevance—contemplates suicide on the subway tracks. However, he changes his mind following a sudden catharsis. Yet, when another person accidentally falls onto the tracks as the train approaches, the young man dies saving them, passing away with the very sense of significance he had so desperately sought.
